MISSION STATEMENT
Seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) This is God’s requirement of each of us. He is the ultimate deliverer of justice. Seek Justice…Many times our ideal of justice depends on our perspective. In a Court of Law, judges and juries are given the duty of sorting through information presented from varying perspectives, forming an opinion, and rendering a verdict… delivering “justice.” As an attorney, I believe it is my duty to present my client’s case to the best of my ability, to approach every conflict with prayer, and to seek resolution with a balance between what is legally permissible and morally appropriate. I believe in the sovereignty of God and have faith that ultimately He is in control. I believe wisdom comes from God and knowledge comes from applying our abilities. I see both as necessary instruments in representation of my clients. I differ from many attorneys in that I believe creating a spirit of cooperation between two parties and treating even those with which I disagree with respect and kindness always accomplishes more than vying to by the “smart, tough, lawyer.” I strive to face each matter I handle with the attitude that it did not come to me by chance but rather through divine appointment. My goal is to seek justice according to the abilities God has given me and through His wisdom. Love Mercy…We receive mercy daily from God and His requirement of us is to extend that mercy to one another. Just as His word commands that we “love” one another, we are to “love” mercy. This is not an act that involves feelings, but rather a commitment that we are required to make toward another. We are not capable of controlling our feelings, and that is why we are commanded to “commit” to serving one another with kind and compassionate treatment in spite of what we feel. And Walk Humbly With Your GodIt is easy to become dependant on the talents that God has given us and forget that we are required to use them according to His purposes and not our own. I strive to keep an awareness that in every matter I handle there is greater purpose than what I perceive. I am committed to seeking God’s wisdom and direction in the resolution of every dispute I am involved in through prayer and humble recognition that any talent I have is a gift from God, given to me for the purpose of accomplishing His will.
